swissnuclear contributes to the safe, long-term and economically efficient operation of the Swiss nuclear power plants. It is concerned mainly with overarching issues such as political processes and new legislative requirements surrounding the safety of the plants or the disposal of the resulting radioactive waste. swissnuclear carries out its activities within the framework of intensive dialogue with the individual power plant operators, the national safety authority ENSI, various federal offices and international supervisory bodies and associations.
