The Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) and swissnuclear are helping to ensure that the nuclear energy sector will continue to have a good supply of qualified staff in the future. They are joint organisers of the 'Advanced Education Course on Nuclear Technology', a varied advanced education course for specialists and junior staff from the nuclear technology industry, including supervisory and research and development staff. The course is aimed at people who have a degree in engineering or natural sciences from a university of applied sciences, technical college or university, but did not receive any specific training in nuclear technology. It is divided into several topic categories which are taught by designated specialists in the respective subject areas. The aim is to give the participants as much knowledge as possible of the main aspects of the use of nuclear technology for generating electricity within a short space of time (200 lessons).
